After spending a bit of time reviewing everyone's schedules it looks like we will be having our next meeting on Elluminate tomorrow night (Oct.1) @ 8pm.

Hi Mary,
I can see about finding the mission and vision statement for you however your focus of the paper is not to get specific elements about the Cole library but to do a more general overview of Mission and Vision statements for an organization. How to go about creating one? What elements should be included...etc.
I would start by using our class text and look for articles through Databases on the King Library website.

Check your email, I've shared a really ugly list of what I've been able to get from scouring the websites for the city of Carlsbad so far. I can't believe that the Carlsbad library doesn't have its own separate web page!

The Lowdown...

The Strategic Plan Assignment Grading Rubric goes over exactly what components Professor Somerville is looking for in this assignment. Kate went ahead and posted this document and other important documents in the blog so be sure to take some time to review these. –Thanks! It looks like we will have to include a literature review for this assignment.
It was all agreed upon at the Elluminate session yesterday that the paper be broken up into 2 parts. Kate provided me with an e-mail stating she was in agreement with breaking up the assignment also.

*Silvia and Mary you will be composing Part 1 of the assignment with the exception of the Abstract, The Carlsbad Cole Library Mission and Value Statements and References page (we will provide him with the sources) that Peter will be working on.

*Peter your big job will be to edit the paper when we have turned in our rough drafts.

*Kate and I will be composing Part 2 of the assignment.

Please get started immediately on gathering resources and starting the assignment. Given the length and scope of the assignment it will take quite a bit of time and I want to make sure that Peter has ample enough time to edit our work.

Hi Team #4,
I will make a post this evening of the details of the assignment - I have notes everywhere so I wanted to make sure and post something that made sense.
I received an e-mail from Kate and it looks as though she can't do an elluminate Friday Oct 1 @ 2pm.
She would be available at 5pm, however I have a friend visiting in the later part of the afternoon so I will not be available.
Is anyone free Thurs. morning/afternoon/evening Sept 30 or Sat. Oct 2 morning/early afternoon? Please let me know ASAP so I can schedule that Elluminate session. ~Thanks!

Elluminate Session Mon. Sept. 27?

It looks like Peter and I will be free to have an elluminate on Mon night around 8pm. I have an elluminate that gets out at 8pm. I can certainly be available around 8:15pm.
Any other thoughts....
I know Kate will be out of town but we can save the session for her to review.
